IoTSec Australia expands executive team


We are excited to announce that we have added Daniella Traino to the IoTSec Australia executive team as a Non-Executive Director. Until recently Daniella was the Business Leader - Cyber Security at CSIRO Data61, Australia’s largest digital and data-driven innovation group. There, Daniella co-developed the cyber security business strategy and led business development and global innovation partnerships for the cyber security domain, and was a member of the CDDC team that won two National iAwards and three state iAwards this year. Daniella is a member of the Research Advisory Committee for the Internet Commerce Security Laboratory (ICSL) – a cyber security research unit of Federation University Australia. She was a contributor to 2017 ‘Startup secrets: How Australia can create new businesses with fintech and cyber security industry collaboration’ report and Cyber Track leader for the 2016 Spark Festival.

In her spare time she advises cyber startups on commercialisation strategies and product/ market fit, and is a non-executive director for a NSW-based not-for-profit in the community sector.Prior to Data61, Daniella held senior management roles including General Manager Security & Risk (Chief Information Security Officer) for a NSW government department, responsible for the effective management of all ICT risk, security & continuity practices; and executive management roles in Banking & Finance and Management Consulting.

Daniella will advise IoTSec Australia on strategy and direction.
